After weeks of sleepless nights and stress in creating our website for the cyberfair, we are happy that we had finished it already and we will just do some little revisions to our website for the final output.
Preparing for the cyberfair competition is not easy, we got to do lots of preparation and even though sometimes our group has misunderstandings we still manage to fix it and we know that arguing on that won’t finish our project so we must fix it immediately. There are a lot of great experiences and memories to remember on this project. One of the best experience I had during the making of our project is when we went to our chosen historical landmark which is the Diplomat Hotel or which is now known as the Baguio Heritage Hill and Prayer Hill. This is one of my best experience because I haven’t gone into that place and when we went there to have some pictures of that place and to explore it, the feeling was like “Wow! Finally I have been into diplomat hotel”. When we got home the pictures were uploaded and while I was going over our pictures my mom saw it and at that time I feel so nervous. Why? Because at that moment I have that feeling that I can be scolded by my mom because I didn’t told her that we were going to that place but when she talked, she asked me if the place is beautiful, at that time I feel so relieved because I wasn’t scolded. Another experience or memory on this event is when we are all rushing to finish the project because the deadline is near. We still have to do a lot of translations from English to Filipino. A problem we encountered in doing the translation was the grammar of the translated Filipino sentence. Some of us even made use of Google Translate just to finish the translation but we all changed that so that there wouldn’t be any grammatical errors on our translations. Another problem is that we don’t know what the Filipino counterpart of specific words is, so we asked the help of our Filipino teacher in translating the English paragraphs into Filipino paragraphs.
If there is a thing that I wouldn’t forget from the cyberfair, it is the unity among our group. The competition ain’t a one man show but it is a team effort. Now, we are just doing some revisions on our website and after that we are just going to wait for the results if we won or not.
